Isle of Man Secret Garden Weekend

Maughold Church Hall was a hive of activity on 19 September, during the annual Produce Show. Organisers of a Secret Garden weekend presented our Manx branch with £1 500.

The money was raised by a very successful Secret Gardens Weekend in July. The main organiser, Lara Barnes was invited to present the cheque to the Barr family including James who has Duchene muscular dystrophy and received it on behalf of the charity. Professor Ronald Barr thanked the club for their generosity. Social Club secretary, Carol Wilson said thanks were due to the organisers, the garden owners and all the other helpers. She also paid tribute the local businesses who kindly sold the programmes.
