    hello,

my husband has just been diagnosed with inclusion body myositis and we are trying to find out as much info as possible. it is quite difficult as our gp has not heard of the disease. do yo know if there are support groups either on-line or in our area (south lanarkshire, scotland)? we would really like to find out as much about the disease and what the future holds for him.

    thanks and regards,
    Elaine

    Hi,

There is plenty of information on the main MDC site :-
    http://www.muscular-dystrophy.org/

Here is the free download on IBM :-

There is also a freephone number for a Self Management Pack for Muscle disease:-

    Good Luck.

    Hi ArchieMac

Taungfox has listed some excellent links to first go digging for info. Take your time, when something new and unknown is diagnosed it can take a while to digest everything. maybe you can pass the links [orprint off the info] and give it to your GP, give him/her an introduction to the condition.
