    Gadgo Superbo……

Stumbled on an absolutely superb gadget.

Well, not stumble actually, by long hard searching on the interwebby thing. Because of a glaring
need that has become more and more obvious. I have around my flat twenty-three “safety grab rails”,
so that virtually wherever I am, bathroom, bedroom, hall, kitchen, garden path, lounge there is
Always a solid rail to hold into for dear life. Bar one place – The Sofa !

It is such a hassle getting up and down I have gravitated to spending nearly all the time on the
sofa where I can have so much stuff all within arms reach. But sofas being large wonderful things
there is no rail near to help get up and down.

    Here it is :-

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0083HIN1A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Solid as a rock, rests on floor so cannot fall or destabilise. The cushion grip handle simply swivels
and pivots out of the way when you are sitting. It is designed for beds but is perfect for my sofa problem.

    Solved !

    Ordered this last week.

After a weeks trial, I have banged in another order this morning as it is far superior to
The “Bed Leaver” they have given me.

Most bed leavers are quite expensive. This is £ 26.99 delivered. The same item elsewhere is £ 46
so effectively I have two for the price of one.

on the other end of the scale coz they refuse to order from non nhs book supplier they end up paying more for some items. my shower chair cost £150. and is crap. only 2 water drain holes for water run off and its tips my backwards. builder i had working drilled some extra holes in for me. coz wetroom dry(ish) till Im wheeled out of shower area and as soon as Im lifted a gallon of water hits the floor.

Cushioned Support Rail number two has arrived.

This one is set to its proper use as a Bed Leaver, unsuspecting visitor has
Done the lifty bits and it is superb. It rests completely on the floor and so
cannot slip or let you fall. The oval shaped handle magically swivels, so that
you can use it at whatever angle you need and afterwards it is just less
    of an obstruction.

With the old bed leaver still there but moved down a bit, and a three
foot safety grab rail on the other side I find I can now manoeuvre in straight
lines rather than twisting to support on the old Bed Leaver alone. This has
saved me about a thousand pounds as I feel I do not need to immediately
move to the profiling bed that they were demonstrating to me last month.

One of these getting me on and off the sofa, t’other one helping in bed.

All is well with the world.

mr fox if they are giving away profiling beds I would grab it with both hands and hold on tight. I have 4 dept arguing with each other about whos to fund one for me and it dont look promising. been in limbo for 2 years. and not cant turn.

Thanks…this is a very valid point.

The O.T. lady doing the asessment very pointedly referred me to and wrote down :-
