    Hi,

One very small piece of feedback.

Is is a mistake that the Section “Hints, Tricks and Tips”, is now hidden away as a tiny
    subsection?

It is our fourth most populous thread / section (980 threads) and has many very useful things to help
our users in their daily lives. Where it now is it will get a lot less traffic and “wither on the vine”. Do
people not come to forums like this for hints, tips and tricks?

    Re: GIVEACAR

Perhaps someone can put this in the relevant place, i am a little confused by the new layout.

I recently took ownership of a 1985 Toyota Carina II automatic, (Motability Car went back the other week) i only need a runabout that can pick up and drop off my daughters, little over 100 miles per fortnight. I also take the occasional trip to Tesco or the chippy. (beef dripping cooked, none of that vegetable oil rubbish)

I cam across the “GIVEACAR” site quite by accident whilst reading The Guardian online. I fully intend to donate my vehicle to them at the end of it’s life, you can choose the charity of your choice and also whether to donate the full amount or only half. The fact that my car is 28 years old, suggests that will be in the next few years.

Do you know anyone who might be willing to forgo the scrap value of their old car, maybe they could agree to donate their car’s value to MDC?

    All the best

It wasn’t a mistake. This was more to guide people in to the main board if anything, and also because some of the main hints and tips were really good pieces that could do with being in the ‘Health’ or ‘Getting Around’ sections. I can revisit this if you feel strongly?

Donating the car’s value to MDC is a lovely idea :) Had it been my thread, I’d have put it in the fundraising section :)
