    Exciting iOS 7…….

Apple have finally released iOS 7, the new operating system.

This is not an upgrade but a major redesign a host of new features and improvements.

The look is completely different with a quirky new modern ethereal, floating, pastel type display
On everything provided by the new British design chief.

Many more functions from the Lockscreen, exciting upgrades for the Camera with sexy new filters, iOS Radio
    and much improved Multi-tasking.

It feels like a completely new device.

For people with disabilities of hand or sight the ease of switching between Apps is just amazing. A double click on the
Home Button takes you to a never ending pane of the tasks you have been doing sequentially and visible with full size
pictures not thumbnails of exactly where you were. Multi-tasking has never been easier.

On a point of balance, using iOS 7, on an IOS device to access Talk MD it
keeps throwing me out for no reason and has somehow duplicated this post.

Thought it was all going too well.

I haven’t done the software update yet as I have heard of a lot of iPhone problems. A few even having to go to their local Apple store to get the problem sorted. Has anyone with an iPhone 4 done the update yet?

I have done the update on me ipad & haven’t had any issues to speak of. I have read of peeps having motion sickness issues, a security concern with phones able to make calls despite the screen being locked (both by accident in users pockets & intentionally to highlight the flaw). Some users are also complaining of imessage issues but, if anybody is suffering with this I have seen a workaround & will post the link here, if you need it.

I don’t think there is one particular model victim to all three complaints. Just teething problems I guess, as with most software redesign & initial hardware introduction.

Just one note on IOS. During my move I had not net for nearly three weeks. I normally only use my ipad in bed & on wifi but, I have a data plan because I got it via Vodafone & that’s how it’s paid for, via the data plan.

I hammered the sky go ap & catch up tv ap during this period as well as talking to Kristel on the cam via hangouts.

My data limit is 2gb pm, I used on the worst days 12gb ! I have a £130 bill to pay for the ipad alone last month & they’ve agreed to take it in two weekly installments.

My point is, different to android or my Note II handset at least, I can’t see a way to set a bar or limit on data use with the IOS before or the update since. I watched football & films without checking my usage, my silly mistake, one I won’t do again.

    Wow…..big problem.

Maybe the reason you cannot see your mounting usage is they do not want you to see
your usage mounting because you would then Stop !

Apple have just rushed out update 7.0.4 for their new operating system.

This is the fourth update in less than two months.

They say the update is about “Bug fixes and improvements”.

This is “Techspeak” for…….We haven’t got a clue and are just putting out a few fires before the next disaster.

On balance it is still an amazingly responsive and intuitive system that does work well most of the time.

At least we know they are focusing on the most important issues like arguing with Firefox and
refusing us their App and most importantly refusing to let taungfox use his gesture driven keyboard
    on any Apple device.

Yes, once upon a while ago Apple used to uber test their software and market themselves as always working … now they’ve gone all mucrosoft with “Get it out, bollox whether it works we will fix it later”by which time 12 months has passed and it is time for the new OS system

    *sigh*

Still ….. wouldn’t go windows even if it were free with free tech support sitting ext to me.
