    E-learning

Not really sure where to put this thread. Fellow mods, any suggestions in the following…

I am really chuffed that my physiotherapist has signed up for the e learning course that MDUK have promoted. I think it is a brilliant idea as is the GP one and I’ll be chasing up my surgery to find out if they have incorporated it into their training yet.

What I was wondering was what people thought about developing one for carers, PAs, support workers?

HQ, are there any plans to design one for the above. I think it would be incredibly valuable and I for one would ask my care team to do it.

    What do people think?

About six months ago had a leaflet sent to me about an
“Elearning module for GP’s”. This was from Lloyd Tingley
the neuromuscular Outreach Officer at head office.

My OT lady took one of the two copies to give to her
GP. Still have the other. Did not dare giving to my
elderly GP who twice has said that he just doesn’t understand
    this MD stuff.

My leaflet says the outcome of your GP completing this course is that they:-

Understand the spectrum of muscle wasting conditions.

Identify the key presenting features of the more common
    muscle wasting conditions.

Describe management, including the importance of multi-disciplinary care.

The module takes 60 minutes to complete. How do we get our GP to
give up Surry minutes when they seem to Raton any appointment to
    ten minutes these days.

    Bump.

    This was important!

E learning module for healthcare professionals.

My O.T. lady made a point of taking it away.
