Disabled campaigners say transport could let Olympics down
London will launch what organisers are calling “the most inclusive ever” Olympics and Paralympics in two years, but Trailblazers are warning the city’s transport network will let the side down.
The London 2012 Committee have said they are committed to making the Games accessible for all, and groups like Trailblazers have been impressed so far with their efforts to recruit volunteers of all abilities. But disabled campaigners fear an inaccessible and misleading public transport system could ruin the Committee’s hard work.
