    Congenital MD – new gene identified

    I have just read this article on the main site. A new gene causing CMD has been identified by Prof. Muntoni and his team (and with the help of zebra fish that I seem to remember Lesley had told us about). About 50% of people diagnosed with CMD do not have a genetic diagnosis yet, I am in this category and have had a few types ruled out over the years – didn’t realise there were so many of us.

    Just when ou thnk you have a handle of MD, another lock gets fitted :D
