How lovely! Whereabouts do you sail? I’m booked on one next September which goes round the Central Med. having never been on a cruise before, I don’t have any hints or tips but I look forward to hearing about your cruise if you don’t coming back to tell how it went?

Have a great time, and please do report back, as it would be very interesting to hear your experiences.
A couple of years ago we researched cruises carefully with regard to accessibility, and reckoned that a Celebrity cruise was probably the best for us, and they seemed very helpful. But then my other half injured herself a while before we were due to sail, wouldn’t have been able to manage the physical assistance I need, and we had to cancel.

I’ve thought for a while that it would be brilliant if there was a cruise line or agency that offered a care package for potential customers with disabilities, but I don’t think anyone’s doing it yet.

No hints or tips unfortunately, as I’ve only ever “cruised” from Portsmouth to the Isle of Wight….but I’ll be very interested to hear all about your trip when you come back. I hope your cabin and bathroom facilities are suitable and all the areas on the ship are accessible for you and the wheelchair.
