Campaigners highlight crucial issues at Welsh Conference

Campaigners from across Wales met in Swansea yesterday at the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign’s Welsh Neuromuscular Conference to highlight key issues which NHS bosses and the Health Minister need to address.

People living with muscle disease were supported by local politicians at the conference – Dr Dai Lloyd, Chair of the Cross Party Group on Muscular Dystrophy in the Welsh Assembly and AM for the South Wales West region, who has recently tabled muscular dystrophy questions in the Assembly, and Dr Hywel Francis, a leading member of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Muscular Dystrophy and MP for Aberavon.

Supporters also heard updates on the latest research developments, care and support and fundraising.
