    Breaking news: access to Spinraza

    Hi everyone,

If you haven’t already seen, there is some amazing news about access to Spinraza, the treatment for SMA.

You can read all about the news here: https://oldsite.musculardystrophyuk.org/news/news/spinraza-to-be-approved-england/

The highlight is that NICE, Biogen and NHS England have come to an agreement to make the treatment available for children, young people and adults with SMA Types 1, 2 and 3 through a Managed Access Agreement (MAA). This means that patients will be able to get Spinraza while more long-term data on its effectiveness is gathered.
