    Advocacy Service-here to help

    Hello all,

I just wanted to remind everyone about the advocacy service and what we can do for you.

The Advocacy team is here to fights for people with muscle-wasting conditions in cases where they feel they have discriminated against or they have been denied something they are entitled to. We deal with issues like benefits such a Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Employment Support Allowance (ESA), grants such as Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG); education issues such as the denial of a Statement of SEN; and care package issues. We are willing to take on most cases and if we can’t help you we are more than happy to ask our partner law firm to support you.

So if you are struggling to get what you are entitled to please contact the team by emailing info@muscular-dystrophy.org or phoning me on 020 7803 4808.

We are there to support you!

    David

There is a superb Advocacy Pack that they send out with
all sorts of clever stuff like template letters and factsheets.

Phone number is on the MDC site.

How do you get help with dealing with post and finance.
I am too tired to sort things out. When I am too ill I just have to leave it.
I need to move and get a new home but don’t feel well enough.
    Can anyone help.
