Also my latest laptop does not have CD drive, so the CD method
is not for all people these days."Even if you are not paranoid, it does not mean they are not out to get you!".

Off the top of my head I think flooring and shower types are very important. I have had trouble with mine so advice on what is safe and useable would have helped when the house house was being built.

The new version will not provide information on specific equipment items, but there is potential to have an online forum to ask questions about equipment and to share advice with others.
Does anyone have any more general comments or questions on adaptations?

It seems there dan be quite a difference depending on where you live as to how joined up the various services are. For example, OT, Social Services, Housing departments and the Wheelchair service.

January 27, 2016 at 1:22 pm #121034Reply To: Adaptations Q&A 27.1.2016 12:00-1:30pmYes I agree sar78. There can be variations across the regions with how services work. There will be some guidance in our new manual on how to be your own keyworker and to help good communication between all services involved when going through an adaptations process.

January 29, 2016 at 12:38 am #121082Reply To: Adaptations Q&A 27.1.2016 12:00-1:30pmHiya, have you tried the Closomat Aerolet toilet lift or the Lift Seat?
The latter is much cheaper than the former though. Both tip you forwards slightly but not enough to slide out of it in my experience. I think both companies would be happy to bring their kit for a demo in your home before you decide to buy!
Hope this helps….
