Saliva and mucus when peg feeding

    Saliva and mucus when peg feeding

    I have problem with excess saliva and mucus when peg feeding. Whether there is a way in which I could stop and at least reduce the saliva my body produces?

    Hello Vic345. Thank you for your question. I wold suspect that the answer will lie with a Maxillo Facial Surgeon who is much better placed to understand all the pros and cons here. I would suspect that you may also get some fellow ‘sufferes’ to pop up on here too.

    Dont have a Peg but in the past I have been prescribed antihistamine to reduce saliva in order to reduce aspirating and then infection. Also a decongestant.

    Is or could your saliva and mucus be caused by reflux? I find i get reflux after drinking ensure or full fat milk. As I say I dont have any experience with peg formula. Have you changed your formula. is issue new? any other changes?
