    Flooring

    Im lookibg for new flooring for my place for my bedroom has to able to handle a power wheelchair

    Anyone used carpet tiles or carpet with low pile

    I have commercial grade laminate in my hallway and not sure i want to have that in bedroom unless i can find non slip

    Do not use carpet tiles they will move. The wheelchair will ‘kick’ them back/away.

    I agree with Diggers, tiles wold be a nightmare. I guess you do not want to have laminate as it is too cold. Try going to a carpet shop if you are able and looking at the choices they have. You can get carpet tile type finish on a roll which can then be fitted to your room. Think carpet for high use areas that you find in pubs and the like, and you will appreciate what I mean. Of course that brings in the question of cost and what is in your budget.
    If you are not able then many carpet stores will come to you with samples but you will need to be clear about what you need.

    I have “Rhino flooring” throughout my bungalow, and it is very pleasing on the eye, as well as tough.

    Ranald is the Rhino flooring the luxuary vinal tile thats clicks together? Also wouldyoi say its warm under foot?

    Ive never had any issues with our Axminster carpets for manoeuvring chair. We have too much cream in ours. Dont get cream or white 😬

    There is a special laminate that clicks together in a way that wont separate with weight and chair moving. Cant recall name.

    My Rhino Flooring is just a posh lino I think. I got the thickest version that is used in commercial premises which have to cope with heavy footfall. Mine is wooden flooring in appearance, it really is realistic. I had a council joiner in doing some maintenance, he actually bent down and touched it when I said it wasn’t real wood. I find it warm enough in bare feet. It comes with a 20 year guarantee.
