I’ve recently found out i’ve got Myofibrillar Myopathy. For the past couple of weeks i have been tired all the time and don’t have any energy to do anything. I literally get up go to work, get home, have tea and then go straight to sleep and at the weekends all i want to do is stay in bed. I just wondered whether anyone could recommend something i can take for it. I’ve had a look at different vitamins but there’s hundreds and i don’t know which are the best.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome Lauren. I think the first step would be to consult with your doctor.He/She, will be able to determine what the root cause of the problem is, it may not be as a result of your myopathy. Also taking the wrong vitamins can also give you problems if not controlled. May I suggest that you could look at your diet. I am guessing it will not have changed in recent weeks but it may not be suitable for you now if your condition is changing. If you are looking at vitamins then you might want to consider a multivitamin in the meantime, but not for long term use.

    Hi Lauren

Have you had any respiratory function tests? I understand you’ve only just been diagnosed so it might not yet have been looked at.
