    Good site, good gear.

I want the inflatable toilet seat, my foam one
    just does not compare.

The asy pull plugs handles are great too.

Could sell, but the spare room is still not quite full.

Awesome – I am about to begin sourcing shower stools. I want something I can shuffle myself about with to get from bed to shower and back so it has to go through doors …. I know I am so wanton

Im on the search for a shower stool myself. got a round one from argos and couldnt build the blinking thing. OT is now on the case but so far 6 chairs have come out from their stores and none of them what was ordered. they keep sending one with a back and arms that bairly fits in the bathroom never mind getting in the shower cabnet door. then they sent this 3 leg corner stool affair that was just plain unsafe. (coz I sit wonky it has a habbit of tipping over) but it is totaly outwith the OTs countrol as they have outsourced their store service. basically OT does an assement – orders what you need- then some wee man in the warehouse decides what youve to get.

the shocking thing is the one I asked for was deemed too expensive. http://www.betterlifehealthcare.com/view_product.php?prodID=7575 ie a round one with a twirly disk so that you can shuffle in a circle but now they have issued 6 chairs of about £35 to £60 each and wont even be able to re issue them even though I had not used them. such a waste.

I used this one last time I was in hospital http://www.betterlifehealthcare.com/view_product.php?prodID=310 Harrogate Shower Chair. comes on wheels. and a good height to push. also a decent height to get off.

Thanks for those … in all honesty I have not really sat down and done the must-have/donotneed list. I am envisaging something on wheels and no arms, I am on my bed where I can undress then shuffle onto seat and free wheel myself to shower [wet room]. After the splashing, spluttering and disorganised drowning I can then part dry off, wheel myself back to the bedroom and shuffle back onto bed to dry off proper and redress [cannot put back brace on when sitting, I have to be laying on the bed/sofa].

Currently I have a stool and that would be fine but even though my wet room has a bobbly non-slip floor, I slip on it when there is the slightest dampness, so I want to avoid the having to stand from sitting, too risky on a wet/damp floor.

*sigh* be so much easier if I could just bung myself in the washing machine.

Re: disabled gear back to shower chair

fab new wetroom finished. non slip flooring gressy when when and takes ages to dry so need to use wheeled showerchair from OT. only problem (appart from arms being fixed and being ti curved) is that it only has 3 drainage holes right where i sit. i cant shift weight to let water go. so i get wheeled out shower area and a gallon of water ends up on the dry side.

what wheely shower chairs do you guys have and do they drain well. would try drilling holes but dont want jaggy bits or it to crack.

My shower chair cost stupid money … but it does have a small hole in the middle, think uber padded loo seat but smaller aperture.

I have your problem if I am in a bath. My BFF gets me in and adds the water, she scrubs ands scrapes [almost literally] and then pulls the plug but my butt acts like a damn, lol, I have to tilt t one side and the water then rushes under my cheek [weird sensation].

I find my bathroom non-slip-but-still-slip-on flooring attracts dust and fluff like no other surface!
