I have been trying to use the ‘care and support page’. However, none of the links work. Has anybody else had this problem?

I have just tried and been successful, but doing it via the search function gives me only a few lines. David, there has been some problems with the forum , and possibly the website. They have been highlighted to the powers that be in the hope they can address them.

Thank you Mike. I’m not sure how many people use this website now. The activity seems to be down to a minimum. Once again thank you for your help.

Hi, Ive reported a couple of times but not had a reply. Both Talkmd and main site full of broken links which is a pity as we have had increased interest and views but usability and function isnt as it should be.

Please please re post and create a new thread.

Hi all I’ve noticed that a few of you have been saying that the forum is either not being used as much or not working properly I just wondered if it’s also because people are using, Facebook, twitter or Instagram. My son reckons I would gain more information if I was to use one of these but I am not on any of them as I don’t trust them. Don’t know what you think.

Thank you cat. I see the whole site is under maintenance. Crazy cat, I agree there are plenty of pages now on Facebook, of groups for people with MD.People seem to talk more freely to.
    Thank you both of you.

Cat, I too am not on any of those places, simply because it exposes too much of your life not just to scrutiny but to being ripped off. I have had my identity stolen and only discovered it when a bailiff knocked on my door wanting £2m. I believe that many might be reluctant to discuss health issues in such places. For information there is Mr Google of course, but that can never outshine the information that existing MD patients can offer. Often quirky little places that folk know of where certain services or equipment can be found is a good example. The lack of support on this forum may be the result of a number of things. Not least is the technical side which seems to be constantly letting us down, this despite your own sterling efforts to report matters and get action. If the forum looks and acts inadequate then the potential user will notice and go looking elsewhere. I also think a major source of problems is advertising it. I am not too certain how much there is but a quick look at MDUK main page does not let you find the forum without much searching, stark contrast to other groups I am involved with.

The good thing the forum had was ability to engage privately and safely without using full name etc. And for those who wanted to could connect out with forum.
